Houttuynia is a hardy perennial.

Variegated leaves with yellow, red and green coloration.  White flowers.  Requires a moist situation.

Can be grown in full sun or shade.  Can be invasive so best grown in a container.

Tender young shoots can be eaten raw or cooked.  Use in salads.
