Making a purchase

This could not be easier.  Just browse the on line catalogue and add any items you wish to purchase into the shopping cart.  When you have finished your selections, click on

and you will be asked to supply the details that we require in order to complete your order.

We accept card payments.  If you are shopping from anywhere outside the UK, you can still order, but we can only deliver within the UK mainland.

We accept most major credit and debit cards and also via PayPal when ordering online.

If you do not wish to order/pay online, you are most welcome to email with the details of your requirements.  We

must have

your address and postcode, the address that your card is registered to and a contact telephone number.  We will then telephone you and take your card details over the telephone.

If you have made a mistake in your online order and cannot correct it via the shopping cart, please contact us direct and we will assist you.

When confirmation of your order is received, this is an indication that we have received your order.  It does not indicate that a contract exists between us.  We will inform you of acceptance of your order, and thus a contract will be made between us.  We have included this term in order to protect us in the case a mistake has been made, we have inadvertently under-priced a product (something that is very rare) or we are no longer able to supply a certain product for some reason.  In the event of a change of price we will contact you direct in order to ascertain that the new price is acceptable.

Shipping and Handling.

All orders are sent out using a 24 hour carrier for mainland UK only.

Deliveries sent by carrier are sent as “Signature optional”.  This does not require you to be at home for delivery.  However there will be a surcharge for areas classified as remote by carriers – we telephone you for the surcharge payment.

However it is important to type instructions

when you reach checkout to tell us and the carrier of a safe place to leave the delivery.

We endeavour to send out orders within 3 working days.  Delays can occasionally happen if we experience an exceptionally busy week or during bad weather.  Such delays will be advised to you either via email or telephone. In the event of a parcel  being returned to us due to failed delivery please note that the full cost of resending the parcel will be charged to the customer.  This is not the £9.95 that is charged on the website.  e.g. large boxes cost over £15.00 per box to send.  Thus there is a considerable discount offered initially on carriage.

Delivery despatch days

We send our parcels out on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays only.  This is to prevent deliveries languishing in depot over the weekend.  Not good for plants!

We will advise you when your order has been dispatched and these normally then arrive the next day.  There may be occasions when due to unforeseen circumstances delivery may take longer but once the parcel has been collected from the nursery this is beyond our control.

We can arrange for delivery on a specific day of the week – excepting Saturdays and Sundays.  Ideal if you wish to purchase as a gift.

Our plants are sent out in bespoke packaging which endeavours to ensure that plants arrive in tip top condition but once despatched we have no control over how the package is handled.  Please recycle or re-use the packaging.

Delivery Problems

Thankfully problems with deliveries are rare.  In the event of any problems please contact us immediately or within 72 hours and we will endeavour to sort this out.  If you fail to contact the carrier or collect the parcel from the carrier’s notified access point and the parcel is returned to us we will automatically destroy these plants due to the high risk of Covid-19 and no refund will be offered.  You may also be liable for the return carriage costs – which is what the carrier charges us for the refund not what we charge you for carriage.

Back Orders

All our plants are grown on the nursery and not ordered in.   Thus all items shown as “In Stock” should be available.  However, we are open to the public and also attend shows and garden festivals and thus the website may not be entirely up to date.  If you wish more than one of any item please check with us first.

If we do make an error with stock control we will always arrange something with you – hopefully this will be something that rarely happens.

Customers should also be aware that at various times during the year we prune our plants in order to keep them in good shape.  Occasionally this will mean that customers will receive a trimmed plant.

Tax Charges

Our plants are zero rated for VAT.

Credit Card Security

We offer payment by PayPal and your card details are not saved on our system.  If you prefer not to pay on-line you may contact us by telephone and card details will be taken over the phone.  We do not retain your card details at any time once the order has been despatched.

We are PCI-SSI compliant.

We wish to provide our customers with quality plants and service.  We will make every effort to ensure that the plants are correctly named and in perfect condition when despatched from the nursery.   Please ensure that you examine your delivery carefully on arrival and notify us of any problems with 24 hours by telephone, followed up by a letter or email together with photographic evidence within 7 days.  We have no control over the parcel once they have left our premises.

Our liability for plants supplied is limited, at our discretion, to the replacement of plants or refund of the price paid. We regret that we cannot accept liability beyond 24 hours from delivery date for plants which fail to thrive due unsuitable care, neglect, poor weather conditions or other causes which are beyond our control.
